If you are in or near P-town, you have no excuse to stop reading this, and get your lazy brunch loving butt up to Wild Abandon. Se 24th and Belmont. Yes. Do it now.
For the rest of you, here's some new poetry. It's classic me-style. I haven't decided on a title, so we'll just go with the first line: Reaping Chaos
Reaping chaos at gothic towers tilted, lending visions
To the alchemists searching for pleasures beyond mortal design
Standing there, just beyond the gates
I meet a perilous gaze
Promising eternity for my humanity
Embracing darkness and passion, evoking ancient rights
Rainfall at Moonrise
signals the bound to break leather ties
To worship in Lunar form and rites
Diana Huntress, Pan Lord of Nymphs
Wild Hunt without end
Showers the rain upon us again
Rational thoughts overcome by our Dance of Madness
Walk the Dark Path, Serpentine Lycanthrope
Spell under Venus, Minerva beckons to you
Midnight chorus in melody, screaming night-chords in fabulous beauty
I’ll share with you my life
For a touch of pure Bliss
A sacrifice for love, eternal Kiss.
If you couldn't tell, lately I've been having an influx of modern goth culture seep into my skin. Blame the new boy.
But, and I may have said it once,
I am, everyday, a romantic. So, yes, I guess I am gothic, but not of the common conception. For I celebrate life and death, and not just the darker parts of the two.
That's my story, and I'll not change it.
And a song to leave you with this morn:
" Tell me
Remind me
Chase the water racing from
the sky
Always beside me
Taste the memories running
from my eyes
Nervous flashlights scan my
dreams
Liquid shadows silence their
screams
I smile at the moon
Chasing water from the sky
I argue with the clouds
Stealing beauty from my eyes
Outside the soundness of your
mind
Bathing your soul in silver tears
Beneath a blackened summer sky
Praying for time to disappear
Beneath a summer sky
Under glass moonlight
Night awaits the lamb's arrival
Liquid shadows crawl
Silver teardrops fall
The bride subsides to her
survival
By your hand
I've awakened
Bear this honor in my name"
