Wow. What a month.
I'm exhausted, but it's a happy one. Difficult hours and a hard environment to train in have tested me, but I'm pretty sure I've done well. I really like it here, at Red Star. It's really amazing to work at a great restaurant.
Clive Barker's newest, "Mister B. Gone", has brought him out of the world of children's literature and back to his core: mind-chilling horror and gore. It's a re-write of what was supposed to be a book penned in the 14th century by a demon, a lowly unfortunate creature with appetites and imagination to rival his Higher Masters. The young demon had a brilliant mind, a good hand at writing and imagination to give him fame... alas, misfortune brought him to the land above, and he spent the rest of his lifetime wreaking havoc and horror. My favorite part is at a certain interlude, a beautiful countryside, all peaceful and quiet, what a perfect day to kidnap over 30 infants and bathe in their blood. Ah... Mr Barker, you are of Divinity.
Recently, I seem to have misplaced my phone. All numbers stored therein are currently lost. I have got a new phone, I'm kind of enamored with it, and now I need all you lovely people's digits again. So, if you'd like to be in contact with me, send me your number. Mine's still the same.
Spring is starting to show it's skin here, little by little. I've been riding my bike to work often, and even though it' still pretty cold out in the early morning, gods it's beautiful, peaceful. I've big plans for the gardens here in the house that gamers built, hopefully a full line of herbs to complement the culinarians that reside and dine here.
I've been learning about some things, some practice, called "Ascension Magick". It's mostly theory, channeled information from beings who've already ascended, and a combination of beliefs from Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Wicca, and Hinduism. It's very odd. The book I'm reading is by Christopher Penzack, whom I've rad before and happen to quite like. However, this book comes off as strange. There are parts of the beliefs that ring true to me, and yet others which scream as falsehoods. I do believe that the human race needs to "ascend" to the next level of existence, however I don't believe humanity as a whole should do so. I also have a hard time believing the things these ascensionists say about these Masters, and how they all are agreeing that a particular being says or does certain things... it's all very foreign to me. It's like actually talking with gods.
Hm,...
I'm very tired, and so I will take my leave simply.
Twilight and Beauty,
